Friendly Mixed ability Hatha Yoga class. Term time only. Parking available

Yoga gives you a stronger, more flexible body and a calmer mind. You won’t have to stand on your head or tie yourself up in knots! We will gently stretch, tone and exercise every part of your body. These Hatha yoga sessions will explore yoga in a light-hearted way, encouraging everyone to work at their own levels. The sessions are suitable for most ages, fitness and ability levels. Beginners are welcome into most classes, and the Gentle class is particularly suitable for those who have injury, mobility or health problems or are returning for exercise. Regular stretching not only improves muscle tone, strength and joint mobility but also helps to delay ageing and degeneration. Weight bearing exercises can help prevent osteoporosis and strengthen bones. Each session finishes with a short relaxation to help release tension.
Mill is a practical, hands-on British Wheel of Yoga teacher and the emphasis is on yoga for everyday fitness and health. She trained with the British Wheel of Yoga and later with the Yoga Biomedical Trust to use yoga as therapy for back problems.

Yoga Class

I trained and qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga. After being a yoga student myself for over 20 years, I studied a Foundation Course for one year, and then studied for a further 2 years to gain my teaching Diploma.

During my training and over the years of my yoga journey I’ve enjoyed many different styles of yoga including Hatha, Iyengar, Yin and Dru. I blend all of them to provide gentle, nurturing classes that provide interest and challenge but in a supportive non competitive environment. I encourage my students to explore through their yoga practice, to unwind, to relax, to stretch, to strengthen and above all, to be mindful.

I’ve been teaching for about eight years now and love sharing my joy of yoga with others. I have continued my training and development gaining additional qualifications in teaching older adults and also studying to teach pregnancy yoga. Plus I regularly attend study days to ensure my knowledge and skills are continually updated.

Whether you’ll be coming along to yoga for the first time, or have been practicing yoga for many years you will be welcomed.
