BWY Foundation Course

BWY Teaching Diploma Course
For anyone who is interested in becoming a Yoga teacher, this 250-hour tutor-led course examines a variety of yoga related topics, and guides the attendee in the application of teaching skills. Main topics include preparation and teaching of asana (under-pinned by Anatomy and physiology), pranayama and meditation. Read more »
BWY Integration Course
This 75-hour course is designed for those who already have a teaching certificate with other recognized organisations and who have been teaching for three years.
BWY Modules
In the Southern region, we offer a wide spectrum of personal development and teaching modules in specific areas of yoga. These modules develop skills further and help to broaden the horizons for serious students and teachers. Read more ».
Teaching Practice Observation Tutors (TPOT)
Student teachers are required to undertake two Recorded Teaching Practices (RTPs) during their diploma course. These are designed to provide help and advice in practical teaching. BWY qualified teachers who hold a TPOT certificate are able to observe students for RTP1 and RTP2. This certified IST day is to train BWY Diploma holders and BWY accredited teachers, of one year standing or more, to observe an RTP in accordance with BWY guidelines.
The cost of Teaching Practice Observation 1 and 2 is £50 plus travel. If the student teaches the observers class, the fee is £25.
Final class assessments can be carried out by any DCT. The cost of Final Class Assessment is £75 plus travel.
