BWY Foundation Courses
Foundation Course Level 1
The 60-hour course intensifies and expands the practices of general yoga classes and is available to anyone who has a keen interest and wants to learn more about Yoga. It delves into a wide variety of strands of yoga, such as increased depth of postural analysis and asana, breath to pranayama, relaxation to meditation. The syllabus includes mantra and mudra—something which may or may not be taught in general classes. It also allows participants to delve into the philosophies and theories which underpin yoga.

September 2010 to March 2011, meeting approximately every two weeks, in Stoneleigh, accessible from midlands motorways yet peaceful. The sessions are on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, the early start is very yogic and it leaves most of the weekend free! It is a much more interactive course, exploring and consolidating level 1 techniques into effective, personally designed practices. There is more physical practice (Hatha/Tantra), meditation (Patanjalia, Raja yoga and others), discussion, pair/group work, and an opportunity for personal study.
The course is now also open to teachers wanting to review their knowledge and practice in a supportive group
