Southern Region comprises Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, North and South Hampshire with the Isle of Wight and Oxfordshire. This gives it a long, narrow shape extending from the South Coast almost to the Midlands, and within the area there is a great variety of terrain. On the Isle of Wight we have fossil-rich shore­line, in Hampshire there are miles of beaches, the New Forest and rolling hills (or hangers), and downs in Berkshire. The River Thames runs through much of the region too.

What about Yoga in our region? More than 250 teachers in the region offer classes in a wide range of styles, and some teachers have specialist skills including yoga for pregnancy, remedial yoga, yoga for senior students, and yoga for those in prison. Currently, there are over 100 students throughout the region on teacher training courses, providing the essential continuity of teachers for our region.
